LaSalle College Jakarta, Fashion Design Student Program Participates in IFW 2019
Jakarta, 30th March 2019 — Indonesia Young Fashion Designer Competition (IYFDC), presented by Indonesia Fashion Week is a competition for young designers of Indonesia. The event aims to seek new talents who are not only creative and innovative but also creative in the business sense.
As many as 20 participants entering the semifinals. They are required to come to Jakarta to present their creations in the second phase of judging. Each designer who took part in the competition Indonesia Young Fashion Designer Competition (IYFDC), presented 5 looks from their collection.
Designer Wahyu Abraham was selected as the first winner in the young designer competition organized by Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) 2019.
"I get a lot of inspiration from my mother and the river. Kan women in Kalimantan after planting rice, they weave with inspiration of Indonesian flora and fauna. Because of this champion, I really want to develop sustainability fashion and I hope this can be a good stepping stone in the future, "Wahyo said at a press conference at the JCC, after the show Indonesia Young Fashion Designer Competition (IYFDC).
The graduate designer of the Indonesia Garment Training Center Bogor is committed to using environmentally friendly materials for the clothes he designs.
One of the students from LaSalle College Jakarta, Fashion Design program, Vini Alya Hapsari participated as one of the 20 finalists selected in Indonesia Young Fashion Designer Competition (IYFDC) 2019.
Through the theme carried out in the event which has entered its 8th year, namely "Cultural Values". Students from the Fashion design program from LaSalle College Jakarta, also participated in the Fashion Show "THE NEXT ONE" among others;
