Buying Trip Fall 2017
This Fall 2017 semester, Fashion Business students level 4 went to Bangkok, Thailand, for an International Buying Trip Fall 2017. 28 students accompanied by 2 teachers went from September 29-October 2, 2017.
With the objective of procuring merchandising on an international source, students will set up an online shop using social media account, develop a sales plan, and monitor the sales for the following 10 weeks.
Before went to Bangkok, the supervising teacher asked the students to project the merchandise they plan to buy on a collection plan. Then, with this planned collection, they went to different places on Bangkok to get the merchandise. Places being visited were Platinum/Pratunam area – very famous for bargained – good quality products with price ranged from 100 baht – 500 baht (around $3 - $15), Chatuchak market, well-known as the Weekend Market, popular among wholesalers and trades and a landmark status as a must-visit place for tourists, and Siam Square-the shopping and entertainment area in the Siam area that connects to various shopping centers such as Siam Discovery Center, MBK, Siam Square One, Siam Paragon, Ratchaprasong district and Sukhumvit Road.
