During the last day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2017, we have again received another great news from one of our students. Farah Nurjanah Baharessa, Fashion Design Program student of LaSalle College Jakarta was awarded as Second Winner at the Wardah Fashion Award 2016. For this award, Farah is entitled to 10 million Rupiah cash prize as well as trophy, and not to mention a lot of publications on her work.

Farah’s collection Navalish was inspired from Navajo tribe, a Native American (Indian) tribe known for its colorful motifs and crafts. Some of the fabrics used in this collection are handwoven by Farah herself, using skills she acquired from Textile Class in Fashion Design Program. This is what makes her collection stands out from the other contestants.

We wish Farah to be a bright and successful fashion designer in the future. The best of luck!
