ID student won the 1st Prize For IDEART 2017

Helzeinka Igna Khalqiya and Vionita Damayanti Gunawan from Interior Design Department won the 1st place at IDEART 2017, It was a two-year creative event hosted by Fakultas Desain at ITS, one of the institutes at Surabaya. The theme this year was “HUMAN”, whilst the subtheme for the interior design competition was “MIND”.
The minimum size for the playground was 6x6x3.5 meter. Moreover, They were tasked to create an indoor playground complete with its prototype in 1:50.
Both of our students created the lobby, waiting area, daycare, playground, TV & creativity area, reading area, family area, lounge/café according to the users’ needs. The concept was open space because kids are always running around, therefore the open space will be suitable for their needs. However, the flooring and ceiling has different treatment one each area so it will be more dynamic.
The concept was also inspired by nature-theme with modern touch hence it is still relevant and appealing to the guests.
The project was judged based on their working drawing, 3-D design as well as the concept.
