Moh. Rizky Julpra Yengky succeeded in impressing the board of juries with his collection 'Symbolism of Majapahit' a collection that is inspired by the ancient Kingdom of Indonesia called Majapahit.
The new talent is expected to be able to run the fashion business by not forgetting Indonesia's cultural roots, through various archipelago fabrics. Among them is IKAT. With the theme 'Embracing Handwoven The Indonesian Heritage' NYPD again received a warm reception from prospective fashion designers who mostly came from fashion school students and alumni. Inclouding LaSalle College Jakarta's alumni.
The participants were asked to make a ready to wear fashion concept using Indonesian woven fabrics. This concept is then translated into six design sketches along with an explanation.
