The current situation can lead to many questions about planning your studies. Please note that at LaSalle College, registrations are still open for the Summer and Fall semesters.

1. Will the Summer (or Fall) semester still take place?

Yes, for the moment, the semester starting in May and the one starting in September will take place as planned. The College is closely monitoring the quickly evolving situation with COVID-19 and is considering all scenarios, including the possibility of taking your courses online. LaSalle College has been a pioneer in online training for nearly 20 years, and therefore we are able to offer you an efficient learning environment at the cutting edge of technology.

Here are the different solutions implemented by program:

  • Artistic Make up
    • Program is offered only on campus.
    • If schools remain closed, the summer (May) intake will be postpone until June 2nd, 2020. If school closure extends beyond this period, the program will be offered at the reopening of the College or in the Fall semester.
  • Interior Design
    • Program is offered on campus.
    • If school remains closed, the program will exceptionally be offered online.
  • Digital Media Design
    • Program is offered only on campus.
    • If school remains closed, the program will exceptionally be offered online.
  • Fashion Design
    • This program is offered on campus.
    • If school remains closed, with 2 weeks theoretical courses will be offered online. Practical courses will start on June 2nd, 2020. If school closure extends beyond this period, the practical courses will be offered at the reopening of the College or in the Fall semester.
  • Photography
    • Program is offered only on campus
    • If school remains closed, the program will exceptionally be offered online.
  • Fashion Business
    • Program is offered only on campus.
    • If school remains closed, the program will exceptionally be offered online.

2. If I register for the Summer session and the situation continues, can I postpone my session?

Yes, absolutely! Your application at LaSalle College is valid for one year. This means that you have the possibility to postpone your starting session, if you choose to postpone while the program opens for your current starting session, the payment will adjust based on the tuition fee list applied.



3. Should I register for the Fall semester rather than the Summer semester due to the current situation?

As of now, the summer semester, which starts in May, will continue to take place as planned. Should the campus remain closed, we have the infrastructure in place to offer online classes. LaSalle College has been a pioneer in online training for nearly 20 years, and therefore we are happy to be able to offer you an efficient learning environment at the cutting edge of technology amid the current situation. 



4. Should I go ahead and request my study permit?

a) Currently, the Indonesia government keeps processing study permits, but delays can be longer than usual.

b) If your study permit has not yet been accepted, you will need to get acceptance first and then you will be able to come to Indonesia when the travel restrictions will be lifted.

c) If you need more information, please contact your admission officer.



5. Is the admissions office still open?

Our campus currently closed. But, we are still open to assist and help you to find the best program on our campus. Our admissions advisors are happy to answer any questions you may have. They are available to assist you with your admission request and to process your file.

**Please note that due to school closures, there will be no in-person meetings at the admissions office until further notice.



6. Are admissions requests being processed as planned?

Yes, our admissions advisors continue to process all applications remotely and your admission request will be processed within the usual timeframe.

7. Is the College still open?

No, currently the institution is closed until April 19th, 2020 inclusively, as recommended by the government.

8. Are there any confirmed cases of COVID-19 at LaSalle College?

Currently, we are not aware of any cases among our students, teachers or staff members both in Jakarta and Surabaya. Should a case be confirmed, information would be provided to the public by the appropriate health agency, in accordance with its protocols.
