Friday, 17th January 2020 – LaSalle College Jakarta received a visit from Crescent School of Architecture from Chennai, India. A total of 37 students from the Interior Design and Architecture study program join this program.

Located at the Puri Putri Ballroom, Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, the event was opened by the Head of Sekolah Tinggi Desain LaSalle College Jakarta, Mr. Hariyadi B. Sukamdani along with Vice-Chairman Non-Academic Sekolah Tinggi Desain LaSalle College Jakarta, Mr. Bonatua Napitu. Followed by Katherine Suteja as Program Director of Interior Design LaSalle College Jakarta, Ms. Katherine Suteja.





"Indonesia consists of thousands of islands, hundreds of tribes and languages as well as cultures. One of the best-known cultures is traditional fabrics such as Batik, weaving, Songket, etc. unique." Mr. Hariyadi explains.

Mr. Hariyadi added "However, the crafts based on the utilize plants are no less unique. People process bamboo and rattan as the main ingredients to beautify the interior of the house. This kind of industry has been done by the Interior Design department of LaSalle College Jakarta."

This event was also supported by LaSalle College Jakarta students, majoring in Interior Design, among them are;

Vice-Chair Non-Academic of Sekolah Tinggi Desain LaSalle College Jakarta, Bonatua Napitulu added, "Currently, the total number of students reached 600 people and every year of recruiting 200 up to 300 new students. The substitution of students here is very fast because they only study for one semester, many have offered jobs." He claimed!






The seminar was also filled by lecturers from the Interior Design program from the Sekolah Tinggi Desain LaSalle College Jakarta, including; 

  • Mr, Bayu Prasetyo, 
  • Ms. Agatha Carolina 
  • Mr. Rico Firmansyah

They shared knowledge about Design and Architecture that developed in Indonesia.
