Artistic Makeup Intensive Courses

Busy with your career as a business person and yet you wish to learn more about artistic makeup? If you have the passion to pursue Artistic Makeup, but don’t have the time to acquire the necessary skills and are unsure how to start your career, LaSalle College International Intensive Courses will provide you with the Makeup knowledge that you’ve been looking for.

This course takes place once a week, 5 hours a day. Each day is divided in to two blocks of approximately 2 hours each. The day starts with some theory followed by a makeup demonstration. Then, the students are asked to put the techniques in to practice on a model.

Courses

Introduction to Makeup. Duration: 30 Hours
To develop students’ abilities to understand the basics of makeup and to recognize different facial shapes.

Correction Techniques. Duration: 30 Hours
To familiarize students with different types of makeup and train them to work with shading, lighting and correction techniques.

Basic Makeup. Duration: 30 Hours
To provide students with the basic technical tools for personal hygiene and appearance, daily makeup and events. It also familiarizes them with the different options available in the makeup industry.

Photo Makeup. Duration: 30 Hours
To study, recognize and put into practice the different technical aspects of photo makeup and to understand photography theory.

Fashion Makeup. Duration: 30 Hours
To acquire the ability to do fashion makeup for catwalks and photography and understand editorial and high fashion makeup.

Study day to day

  • Morphology I: principles of face structures and facial muscles, shades and lights, and suitable corrections
  • Morphology II: different shapes of eyebrows, eyes, noses, mouth and chins and how to apply suitable corrections
  • Color Theory: analysis color of skin, eyes, hair, clothing and appropriate makeup, and correction of skin tones
  • Aesthetics and makeup products: types and conditions of skin, different products used, skin treatment before makeup, and best products for a makeup artist
  • Shades and lights: application of the principles of highlights and contour on the face
