Khoirudin, First Winner of NYPD 2018 Competition at JFFF
Khoirudin, student of Fashion Design Program LaSalle College Jakarta has been selected as the First Winner of Next Young Promising Designer (NYPD) 2018 fashion design competition.
NYPD is an annual event that is held in conjunction with the Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF), in partnership with Cita Tenun Indonesia, a non-profit organization that focuses on developing and empowering the traditional Indonesian weaving textiles. Khoirudin succeeded in impressing the board of juries with his collection “The Villager of Suku NTT”, a collection that is inspired by the cultures of East Nusa Tenggara, a region that is famous for its ikat weavings.
Regina Soeyatna, LaSalle College Jakarta Fashion Design alumni, was also selected as one of the ten finalists out of hundreds of entries all around Indonesia.
