The Diploma of Digital Media Design at LaSalle College Jakarta is a 120-credit program that prepares students to develop skills in graphic and typographic design, photography, basic audio and video production, 3D animation, web design, and digital technology through hands-on experience.

The Department of Digital Media Design provides a balanced, comprehensive diploma program in the history, theory, and practice of the visual arts and new media. Working closely with highly accomplished faculty, students apply contemporary practices in the fine arts, independent animation & creative industries to the production of graphic design, digital animation, motion arts, broadcasting, web design and interactive artworks.

The Diploma of Digital Media Design at LaSalle College Jakarta is very up-to-date – reflecting the rapid changes that occur in new media. This in turn provides you with a contemporary skill-set to meet the demands of the industry.

The curriculum is focused on developing the student's technical skills and creative vision, with an emphasis on building a portfolio that will prepare the student to enter the workforce in fields of digital media development and design.

The Diploma in Digital Media Design can be completed in 2 years of full-time or 3 years of part-time study.

  • Explore the various trends and styles found in both art and design history.
  • Choose and organize visual components based on a target objective.
  • Use drawing, page layout, and image processing software on Mac and PC platforms.
  • Develop concepts of digital imagery in 2D, 3D, animation and special effects formats.
  • Develop techniques for writing screenplays and scripting storyboards.
  • Execute integrated multimedia operations using software and media.
  • Acquire skills in developing concepts and create a unique style in photography.
  • Develop Web page design skills.
  • Develop interactive applications and create basic video games.
  • Blend 2D & 3D computer-generated images into animations.
  • Understand and resolve the constraints inherent in the production of multimedia projects both online and on CD-ROM.
